Second Generation of European Migrants- 2GEM project
2GEM is the acronym of Second Generation of European Migrants project, ref. № 2020-1-FI01-KA204-066469 funded under KA204 Strategic Partnerships for adult education, 2020, Erasmus+ programme.
The main goal of the 2GEM project is to equip second-generation migrants with skills, competences, and knowledge necessary to act as intercultural workers within their community by building on their unique cultural assets. As such, they will be able to serve as a link between the migrant community and local people, thereby contributing to better integration of the newcomers, and the first-generation migrants.
2nd Meeting in Bulgaria
In Sofia, Bulgaria, the partners have successfully conducted the 2nd Transnational Meeting of the Second Generation of European Migrants- 2GEM project! Part of the participants met face-to-face for the first time and others joined online. During the meeting, the partners discussed the progress of the work packages and different components of the implementation framework, including the progress and main findings of Intellectual Outputs 1 and 2; overview and recurrent analysis of the Intellectual Outputs 3 & 4; allocation of tasks with deadlines; update on Management and Coordination such as, communication, financial procedures, documentation & reports; and Dissemination, Visibility and Exploitation of Project Results. The project falls under the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships for adult education – Key Action 204 (KA2): Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices.
